Step 3: Receive your certificate the same day. A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment is issued digitally on the day of your practical, confirming your CPR qualifications and first aid certification are current.
What Does HLTAID011 Renewal Cover?
The renewal course covers the same knowledge and skills as the initial qualification, preparing you for a range of emergency situations:
- The ability to provide CPR aligned to Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines
- AED use and basic life support
- DRSABCD emergency action plan
- Bleeding, burns, fractures, and complex wounds

Is HLTAID011 the Same as HLTAID003?
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the current code for what used to be called Senior First Aid, Apply First Aid, or HLTAID003. Old codes appear on legacy certificates but are no longer issued, so any renewal from 2021 onwards is issued as HLTAID011.
Does the Same Renewal Cover Me in Every State and Territory?
Yes. HLTAID011 is a nationally recognised qualification issued under the HLT Health Training Package, so the certificate is accepted by employers and regulators in every state and territory.
What Do I Need to Bring to the Practical Assessment?
A photo ID with your full legal name (driver’s licence, passport, or proof of age card) and your USI (Unique Student Identifier). Your USI is required to issue the Statement of Attainment. If you have lost your USI, you can retrieve it from the USI Registry before your session.
