Refund & Course Cancellation Policy
Fees Payable
Payment for the course is required at the time of booking either with Visa or Mastercard. A tax receipt will be sent upon payment of the course. Rescheduling fees are required to be paid at the time of the reschedule request. Please be advised that your Certificate will not be released until all course fees including any additional fees incurred (rescheduling fee) have been paid in full. FAP First Aid accepts payment for fees using only a Credit Card through the Learning Management System.
Course Cancellation Fees:
- HLTAID009 Provide CPR - $29
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid - $55
- HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Seting - $65
Rescheduling Policy (Fees & Limits)
Notice period & fees:
- More than 48 hours before your course start time: $10 (inc. GST) per reschedule.
- 48 hours or less before your course start time: $25 (inc. GST) per reschedule.
Payment:
- Fees are payable at the time of rescheduling. Your new booking is not confirmed until payment is received.
Limits:
- You may reschedule a maximum of three (3) times within one (1) month of the original course date.
- After the third reschedule, your booking will be cancelled.
- Medical certificate: If you provide a valid medical certificate, FAP First Aid will reschedule at no charge (reschedule limits still apply).
Course Upgrades
- A $50 (inc. GST) fee applies for upgrades between HLTAID009, HLTAID011, and HLTAID012.
- Students must attend the upgraded course in full to obtain the upgraded qualification.
- If the upgraded course includes an online exam/online learning component, you will be required to complete it as part of the upgrade.
- Note: Upgrade fees are separate from any rescheduling fees.
- Course upgrades must be requested and completed within two (2) weeks of your original course date. Requests made after this period will not be eligible for an upgrade.
- Upon successful completion of the upgraded course, your original course certificate will be revoked and replaced with the new qualification certificate reflecting the upgrade.
Extension Fee Policy
Policy Statement
All blended online courses delivered by FAP First Aid have set enrolment expiry dates to ensure learning is completed in a timely manner, remains current, and meets compliance requirements. Students who do not complete their coursework within the allocated timeframe will have their access locked and may only continue their course if an extension is granted.
HLTAID Units of Competency
- This applies to the following courses:
- HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
- Completion Timeframe: Students must complete online learning prior to attending the in-person session.
- Extension: If the course is not completed within this timeframe, a $50 extension fee will apply.
- Extension Duration: The extension provides an additional 7 days of access only.
- Eligibility Window: Extensions must be requested within 1 month of course expiry. After this period, students must re-enrol at full course cost.
- Limitations: Only one extension will be granted per enrolment. No further extensions will be considered.
Refund Policy
No Show For a Non-Cancelled Course
Rescheduling
a. Non-Cancelled Courses by FAP First Aid:
- Students are allowed up to three (3) opportunities to reschedule their course within one (1) month from the original course date.
- A $10 rescheduling fee is payable at the time of rescheduling.
- If rescheduling is not completed within this timeframe, students must enrol in a new course and pay the full course fees.
b. Cancelled Courses by FAP First Aid:
- Students may reschedule their course within three (3) months of the original course date without penalty.
- Alternatively, students may request a refund using the existing refund form. Click here to access the refund form.
Cancellation Requests
If a student wishes to cancel their enrolment, FAP First Aid offers the option to gift the course to a family member or friend. If the student proceeds with cancellation, the following conditions apply:
- Fourteen (14) days or more before the course commencement date: Full refund provided.
- Two (2) business days or fewer before the course commencement date: Cancellation fees apply. (Please see above schedule)
- Non-attendance, incomplete disclosure of required information, or insufficient ID on the course date: No refund will be issued.
- Non-completion of the course after three (3) months from the original course date: No refund will be issued.
- Withdrawal after the course or exams have commenced: No refund will be provided.
Course Pricing and Discounts
a. Course Price at Time of Booking:
- The course price quoted at the time of booking remains fixed for the duration of the student’s enrolment.
- Discounts, promotions, or special offers introduced after a booking will not apply to previously booked courses.
- Once a course is booked, the student commits to the specified course and its price, regardless of subsequent discounts or offers.
- While the price for a booked course will remain unchanged, FAP First Aid reserves the right to adjust prices for future courses.
- Discounts or promotional offers will be communicated clearly at the time they are introduced.
- Students are responsible for staying informed about current promotions.
